Some guidelines on Campaign donations in Oklahoma

Cash & Anonymous Donations

No more than $50 of a contributor’s donation may be in cash or anonymous format.
Any amount above $50 must be either:
- Returned to the contributor (if known), or
- Forwarded to the State Treasurer’s general revenue fund Welcome to Oklahoma’s Official Web Site.

Contributors and candidate committees must not exceed the limits set by Oklahoma Ethics Commission rules. Violating these rules can trigger misdemeanor or felony penalties, depending on the excess amount Justia Law.
It’s illegal to funnel contributions through intermediaries (conduits) to bypass these limits Justia Law.
Lobbyists or their principals cannot give or solicit contributions to/from legislative candidates during a legislative session and for 5 days following adjournment, nor may candidates solicit or accept such contributions in that period Justia Law.

Individuals: Maximum of $3,300 per election (2024 rules) — potentially up to $3,500 per updated guidance.
PACs (limited): Up to $5,000.
1/25 limited comm.: Up to $2,500.
Political Party Committees: Up to $10,000.
No contributions allowed from corporations, unions, or super PACs.
Cash/anonymous limits: $50 maximum; excess must be handled per law.
Legal compliance is mandatory—exceeding limits or using conduits is punishable.
Timing restrictions apply to lobbying-related contributions during and immediately after legislative sessions.
